At ABC's of Dog Training, Dog Training Made Easy, you will be shown and instructed the right way in raising and caring for your puppy.  Puppy Training begins at eight (8) weeks to sixteen (16) weeks.   Puppy training in many ways is easier than training an adult dog, in that puppies have just not yet had a chance to learn how to respond to their environments.  This means you get to teach your puppy how to behave properly right from the beginning. 

Puppy training consists of implementing the appropriate techniques and methods in:

* Feeding - Where to feed your puppy?  Pick a place that is a non-traffic area and stick to that one spot.  The water bowl stays there, and the food plate is put down and removed after twenty minutes.  When to feed your puppy?  Stay with whatever feeding schedule you set up for your puppy.  What to feed, and How much to feed your puppy?  Keep in mind that you are feeding a rapidly growing puppy not to satisfy the puppy's appetite, but to have your puppy grow up to become a healthy adult dog.  Always keep fresh clean water available at all times is as important as food.   

* Housebreaking - is sometimes called Housetraining.  The best  way to house train a dog is to use the dog's own nature to your benefit.  Housetraining a puppy is important for both the puppy and owner.  The main objective is to take the puppy to an outside area to relief and eliminate.  The best way to housetrain a puppy or dog, is to know your dog's habits and needs. 

* Socializing - Socialization is teaching a puppy or a dog proper socialization skills is vital to the safety of your dog, other dogs and people with whom the dog comes in contact.  Socialization is best done when the puppy is young, the skills it picks up will affect its behavior for life.  A properly socialized dog will neither be frightened nor aggressive toward other dogs or humans.  Proper socialization also teaches your puppy or dog not to be fearful of other dogs. 

* Exercising - is important to your puppy's growth.  There are different kinds of exercises for a puppy.  Dogs will always try to keep up with you, to perform whatever you ask them to do, therefore it is up to you to set the limits.

* Obedience - Dog obedience training is a great way to fulfill some of your dog's needs including exercise, feeling of accomplishment, knowing what's expected, positive social interaction, and a good relationship with its owner.  Obedience dog training gives the dog an important job to perform, goal and is useful in redirecting some of the energy of a dog that was meant to work.  When you use the dog training commands throughout the day, be patient, consistent, persistent and praise your dog.  All dogs are different and dog training methods that work on one type of dog breed may intimidate another dog breed.  Obedient and trained dogs result in happier dogs and are less likely to get into trouble.

* Biting - Puppies must learn to inhibit their tendency to bite.  Biting may be harmless with a small puppy but it can be dangerous when the puppy has grown into an adult.  Therefore it is important for you to control their biting when young.  One way to inhibit your puppy's biting habit is through socialization with other puppies, and older dogs that have been socialized.   Biting behaviors that are not corrected will only get worse in time.   Harmless behaviors in a puppy can quickly become a dangerous and destructive behavior in an adult dog.  

* Shyness - is a temperament trait, and this behavior has a learned element:  Soothing a frightened puppy doesn't alleviate the fear; it reinforces it.  To help prevent fear-induced aggression, you must assert yourself as the one who's calm, in control, and in charge of the situation. 

* Barking - How you handle the situation depends on what is prompting the barking in the first place.

* Aggressiveness - There are different types of aggressions.  Aggression can be related to a dog's need for dominance; desire to guard an object, a person or a place; or fear.   These are behavioral problems that can be cured or controlled with proper dog training. 

* Destruction - Dog obedience training deals and helps to eliminate destructive behaviors.  A puppy or dog that is socialized and obedience trained will be less likely to exhibit behaviors of destruction.
